3. Estimates and quotes
Estimates and quotes provided through this website, by phone, or in person are based on the information you give us at the time of the estimate. They remain valid for 30 days unless we state otherwise in writing. The final price may change if scope, materials, or job-site conditions differ from what was originally described. Any change will be communicated in writing before work begins on the affected portion of the project.
4. Service agreements
If you choose to hire us, the work will be governed by a separate written service agreement that includes scope, materials, timeline, total price, and payment terms. These Terms of Service do not replace that agreement; the service agreement controls in case of conflict.
5. Payment
For most projects, our standard structure is 50% upfront before scheduling and 50% upon satisfactory completion of the work. Specific payment terms for your project will be set out in your service agreement. We accept the payment methods identified in that agreement. Late payments may be subject to additional fees as permitted by Florida law.
6. Warranty
We stand behind our work. Each project comes with a workmanship warranty whose scope and duration are set out in your service agreement. As a general matter:
- If something we built or installed is not performing as agreed within the warranty period, we will return and correct it at no additional labor cost.
- The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, lack of maintenance, severe weather, modifications by third parties, or normal wear and tear.
- Manufacturer warranties on materials (paint, fixtures, hardware, flooring, etc.) are governed by the manufacturer; we will help you make a claim where applicable.
7. Insurance and licensing
Battle Born Builders maintains general liability insurance appropriate to the work we perform. Proof of insurance is available upon request. We comply with the licensing requirements that apply to the trades and jurisdictions in which we operate.
8. SMS and email communications

Liability arising from a project we performed is governed by your service agreement and is not limited by these Terms.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Battle Born Builders, its owners, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your misuse of the website or your breach of these Terms.
14. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the website will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Duval County, Florida, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
